Faith Over Fear: How to Overcome What’s Been Holding You Back
Yo, it’s Muscle Dogg, and today we’re talkin’ about something that’s been messing with too many minds—fear.
Not the jump-scare movie kind.
I’m talkin’ about the kind that keeps you stuck…
The kind that whispers, “What if you fail?”, “What if they leave?”, “What if you’re not enough?”
Let’s be clear—fear is not from God.
It’s a weapon of distraction, paralysis, and control.
But you? You’ve been given power, love, and a sound mind.
So let’s shut fear down at the root—and walk in the faith God gave you.
2 Timothy 1:7 says:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
That means:
• If fear is speaking—you know it’s not from God.
• Fear speaks in “what ifs”—God speaks in “I AM.”
• The enemy wants to rattle your mind—but God gave you mental stability through Christ.
Fear exaggerates. God anchors.
Don’t let lies in your head override the truth in His Word.
Psalm 56:3-4 says:
“Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You… In God I have put my trust; I will not fear.”
That means:
• Fear might show up—but you don’t have to give it a seat at the table.
• Courage ain’t the absence of fear—it’s choosing trust anyway.
• Faith is not a feeling—it’s a focus.
You don’t need to feel strong to stand strong.
You just need to lean on the One who is.
Fear shrinks when your focus shifts.
Isaiah 41:10 says:
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you…”
That means:
• You’re never outnumbered with God on your side.
• Fear loses its grip when you remember who’s holding you up.
• God isn’t just watching—you’ve got back-up from Heaven.
Fear says you’re surrounded.
Faith says you’re covered.
You might feel overwhelmed, but God is still in control.
Fear is a thief—it steals time, peace, purpose, and vision.
But the moment you face it with truth? It loses power.
You’ve got everything you need to overcome it.
The Word. The Spirit. The Savior.
Now it’s time to walk it out.
What fear has been calling the shots in your life?
This week, call it out by name—and speak God’s truth over it.
Write down a verse. Say it out loud. Declare war on fear with faith and facts.
You were not built to live afraid.
You were built to walk in boldness, filled with power and purpose.
The enemy thrives in fear.
But you?
You thrive in faith.
So stand up. Speak truth.
And never forget who walks with you.
Fear may knock—but faith answers the door.
